Mnu, doar Scarlet.
I didn't go in expecting Alien 0.5, I did go in expecting a reasonably well put together Si-Fi film that alluded to the future/past alien films. Except that they didn't even handle that properly and instead had to go for a full on OH LOOK IT'S THE ALIEN FROM THAT ALIEN FILM THAT YOU LIKED BEFORE RIDLEY SCOTT BECAME A LAZY BASTARD AND DEVELOPED A FEAR OF SUBTLETY.
To me, the film was deep in the way that severely mentally deficient people found Avatar deep.
Someone in the message boards said, in defense of Prometheus: "Thank God art is subjective!"
Well, you said it: ART is subjective, so this commercial, intentionally crowd-pleasing sh#t doesn't qualify.
I can't even begin to imagine what sort of mushroom-fueled hallucinogenic trip one must be on to call this "art". Why, cause it's computer generated images? So what? Only cause "Avatar" managed to be visually arresting doesn't make any 3D/CGI-fueled piece of cr#p an artistic accomplishment. "Hercules in New York" could be remade tomorrow, in 3D with CGI special effects, and it would still be a turd.
